Ever since the introduction of 'The Work At Height Regulations 2005', the road tanker industry has endeavoured to improve the safety of its drivers either by introducing better working practices or by providing better equipment for accessing tank tops. Visilevel represents the single biggest step forward in the effort to reduce accidents at height in our industry. Once loaded, the Visilevel system is given the loaded contents of each compartment; the system then identifies the product class and asks the driver to confirm this information. If product class and volume don't correlate, the system alerts the driver to the possibility of an error, giving him the opportunity to correct the information. This 'handshake' between truck and driver ensures he and you know what is on the vehicle when it leaves the loading point.
Loaded compartments bear a padlock on the screen display, which is removed when a significant change in liquid level is gauged. This event and any other level change is recorded by date/time and position stamped.
End of shift stock reconciliation at the push of a button - As well as detailed on screen information, the driver can provide you with hard copy confirmation of the contents of each compartment, via the in-cab printer.
VisiLevel can be expanded to include dynamic axle load indication, which informs the driver when there is a potential overload on one or more axles.
VisiLevel knows how much product is on board and where it is in relation to the axles, it can therefore indicate the axle weights, by means of a simple calculation, and inform the driver of a potential overload.
The system is also able to indicate the appropriate compartment from which product should be unloaded to reduce or avoid an axle overload.
This feature has become increasingly important since the introduction of graduated fixed penalties, across the transport industry. These penalties are banded in severity and can result in fines and/or points on the drivers licence which are recorded against a companies 'O' licence. VisiLevel helps you and your driver stay weight compliant throughout the shift.
Driver safety:
Dipping compartments becomes a thing of the past. VisiLevel allows you to interrogate compartment contents from the ground.
Stock control:
Accurate end of day reconciliation at a glance, VisiLevel identifies grade and volume by compartment.
Load security:
VisiLevel records the time, date, longitude and latitude of any significant change in liquid level, identifying any unauthorised removal of product
Improved vehicle utilisation:
Real time monitoring of compartment contents and vehicle location allows you to get the most out of your valuable asset
Reduced build costs on trucks built to bottom load:
Fit VisiLevel instead of dip interlocks, dip sticks, catwalks, top sockets, rear ladders - Save Money - Save Weight - Save Time
Axle Weight Compliance.
Gantry overspills. No need to rely on driver calculations, VisiLevel takes the guess work out of loading.
Cross contamination at the loading point. Accurate on-truck product identification stops costly mistakes at the rack.
Time spent stripping vehicles. Left On Board - Time is money, no need to routinely empty compartments at the day's end when your truck is fitted with VisiLevel
Axle overloads.
